Sun Sep 15 10:02:08 UTC 2024: ## Modi Launches Six New Vande Bharat Express Trains in Jharkhand, Boosting Connectivity and Tourism
Jharkhand witnessed a significant boost to its rail infrastructure today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated six new Vande Bharat Express trains. These high-speed trains will connect key destinations across the state, promoting both religious tourism and economic growth.
The new routes include:
* Tatanagar – Patna
* Bhagalpur – Dumka – Howrah
* Brahmapur – Tatanagar
* Gaya – Howrah
* Deoghar – Varanasi
* Rourkela – Howrah
The trains are expected to facilitate easier access to prominent pilgrimage sites like Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, and Kalighat and Belur Math in Kolkata, attracting devotees and boosting religious tourism.
Beyond religious tourism, the new trains are anticipated to support local industries. Faster transportation will benefit coal mining in Dhanbad, jute production in Kolkata, and iron and steel manufacturing in Durgapur, fostering economic development.
As part of the larger railway infrastructure development, the Madhupur Bypass line in Deoghar district and the Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot in Hazaribag district have also been inaugurated. The bypass line aims to reduce congestion on the Howrah-Delhi mainline and shorten travel time between Giridih and Jasidih. The new coaching depot will enhance train maintenance operations, further improving efficiency.
The launch of these new Vande Bharat Express trains signifies a significant step towards enhancing connectivity and fostering growth in Jharkhand, bolstering both religious tourism and local industries.
