**Los Angeles, CA** – The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards are set to take place on Sunday, September 15th, live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The prestigious awards ceremony will celebrate the best in television from June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024, with “Schitt’s Creek” stars Eugene and Dan Levy serving as hosts.
This marks the first time a father-son duo will host the Emmys. The Levys previously made history in 2020, becoming the first father and son to win awards in the same year for their roles in “Schitt’s Creek.”
Leading the nominations are “The Bear,” with 23 nods, and the historical drama “Shōgun,” with 25 nominations. “Palm Royale,” a comedy-drama on Apple TV+, secured 11 nominations.
The ceremony will air live on ABC at 8 p.m. EST/ 5 p.m. PST and will run for three hours. It will also be available to stream on Hulu the next day.
Fans can catch the pre-show coverage starting at 7 p.m. EST on ABC, with hosts Robin Roberts and Will Reeve. The red carpet will also be streamed live on various platforms including NBC, E! News, and Today All Day.
Netflix received a record-breaking 107 nominations, while FX and HBO/Max both received over 90 nominations. Notably, Apple TV+ reached a record 72 nominations.
A star-studded lineup of presenters is expected, including Kristen Wiig, Viola Davis, Lily Gladstone, Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Dick Van Dyke, among others.
