**Bengaluru, India -** Bengaluru FC kicked off their Indian Super League campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over East Bengal FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Saturday. The match was decided by a stunning goal from 19-year-old debutant Vinith Venkatesh in the 25th minute.

Venkatesh, a graduate of the Bengaluru FC academy, showcased his brilliance in the recent Durand Cup and carried that momentum into the ISL season. The match was a tightly contested affair, with both sides displaying aggressive football and numerous tackles flying in. The referee handed out yellow cards to Nandha Kumar, Lalchungnunga, and Hector Yuste for reckless tackles, while Jeakson Singh almost scored for East Bengal in the first half, forcing a fantastic save from Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.
