**Brussels, Belgium** – Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra will compete in the men’s javelin throw event at the Diamond League season finale in Brussels on Saturday. The Olympic champion secured his spot in the final after finishing fourth in the standings.

Chopra has had a strong season, with two second-place finishes at the Lausanne and Doha Diamond League meetings. In Lausanne, he recorded a best throw of 89.49m, just missing out on the elusive 90-meter mark. He also won silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics with a throw of 89.45m.

The only competitor who has a throw exceeding Chopra’s this year is Anderson Peters, who won bronze at the Paris Olympics. Peters ended the season with a record-breaking throw of 90.61m, surpassing the previous record of 90.16 set by Keshorn Walcott in 2015.

Chopra will be looking to improve his performance in Brussels and challenge Peters for the top spot. The event will be a thrilling showdown between two of the world’s best javelin throwers.
