**Jammu, [Date]:** The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) hosted a vibrant “Hindi Diwas” celebration at Abhinav Theatre in Jammu, dedicated to promoting and preserving the Hindi language. The full-day event featured lively debates, captivating poetry recitations, and enthusiastic participation from students across the region.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, the Chief Guest, emphasized Hindi’s unifying role and its importance as a symbol of India’s rich cultural heritage. He urged the younger generation to maintain a strong connection to their linguistic roots, stating that Hindi transcends being merely a language; it embodies the essence of our cultural identity and plays a crucial role in strengthening national unity.

Principal Secretary of Culture, Suresh Kumar Gupta, commended the JKAACL’s efforts in organizing the event, encouraging students to delve deeper into the richness of Hindi literature. He remarked that such programs foster a love for the language and nurture future poets, writers, and scholars.

The celebration also recognized academic excellence in Hindi, honoring student achievers. Ms. Sonali Thakur, a Gold Medalist in M.A. Hindi from Jammu University, Ms. Tanu Choudhary, a graduate of Govt College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, and Ms. Kashish Kaila, who achieved a perfect score in Hindi in her 12th class exams, were felicitated by Chief Secretary Dulloo for their outstanding achievements.

Prominent scholars, including Prof. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Parshottam Kumar, and Dr. Bhagwati Devi, presented insightful papers on the importance and globalization of Hindi. Around 30 students from various schools and colleges showcased their talent in poetry and debate competitions, with standout performers receiving certificates and prizes.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment from the JKAACL to promote Hindi and other regional languages as part of its cultural mission. The celebration underscored the importance of linguistic diversity and its contribution to national unity and cultural heritage.
