**Northallerton, UK** – Businesses in North Yorkshire are being offered a golden opportunity to expand their reach and boost their growth by taking part in a series of free Export Support Roadshows.

Starting in October, the roadshows will travel across five locations in two weeks, providing valuable guidance and support for businesses looking to venture into international markets. Experts will be on hand to offer practical advice, explore funding opportunities, and highlight success stories from local businesses who have already embarked on their export journey.

Semperfli, a Selby-based company specializing in fly fishing equipment, will be sharing their experiences as a “Northern Export Champion” at the first event in Selby. Ann Kitchener, CEO of Semperfli, emphasizes the importance of building strong relationships and fostering a global team mindset for long-term export success.

The roadshows, organized by North Yorkshire Council, the Department for Business and Trade, and the York and North Yorkshire Growth Hub, aim to identify and nurture future global exporters within the region. The initiative is funded by North Yorkshire Council through the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund, making it exclusively accessible to businesses within the council’s area.

David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, highlights the crucial role of small and high street businesses in the region’s economy and emphasizes the importance of supporting their growth. Councillor Carl Les, Leader of North Yorkshire Council, further encourages businesses to seize this opportunity to explore new markets and put North Yorkshire on the global map.
