**COEUR D’ALENE, IDAHO** – The Idaho State Fire Marshal’s Office has determined the cause of the fire that destroyed the iconic Wolf Lodge Inn on September 2nd to be accidental. An investigation revealed that grease had accumulated in the attic due to a breach in the flue pipe above the wood-fired grill, ultimately igniting and causing the blaze.
The fire, which resulted in three firefighter injuries, completely destroyed the historic restaurant. Employees and community members have expressed deep sadness and loss over the destruction of the beloved establishment.
