**CONYERS, GA** – A father and son who both worked at Edwards Middle School have been dismissed from their positions following a security incident at the school. According to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were conducting a random security check on Wednesday when they observed “suspicious behavior” from a staff member and a contracted staff member.
The deputies immediately placed the school on lockdown and, upon further investigation, discovered that one of the individuals was in possession of weapons. The other individual is alleged to have made threats.
