**COVINGTON, GA** – A man who was injured in a shooting incident on Sept. 10 was subsequently arrested on outstanding warrants, according to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a call of gunshots fired at a residence on Brandon Drive shortly before midnight on Sept. 10. Upon arrival, they found the injured man, who was then taken into custody for outstanding warrants. The details of the shooting and the man’s identity have not been released.
