**NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)** – Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jon Bon Jovi, along with a video production assistant, intervened to save a woman who was standing on the ledge of a pedestrian bridge in Nashville on Tuesday.
The incident took place on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, which spans the Cumberland River. Bon Jovi was filming a music video on the bridge, which was open to the public during the shoot.
Footage later posted on YouTube, which has since been removed, shows the assistant speaking to the distressed woman. Bon Jovi then approached the woman slowly, waving to her before joining the conversation. The Grammy-winning singer’s calm demeanor and genuine concern ultimately persuaded the woman to turn around and allow them to help her back over the railing to safety.
Bon Jovi reportedly spoke to the woman and hugged her after she was safely back on the bridge. A representative for the singer has declined to comment on the incident.
