**New Delhi, September 11, 2024** – The recent ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, held in India, generated a staggering **Rs 11,637 crore (USD 1.39 billion)** for the Indian economy, according to a new report released by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The tournament, which saw Australia emerge victorious, attracted a record-breaking 1.25 million spectators, with 75% attending their first ever ICC Men’s CWC 50-over match. The event also attracted a significant influx of international visitors, with 19% making their inaugural trip to India.
