**Chandigarh, October 2nd, 2024** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its final list of candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, scheduled for October 5th. The saffron party has fielded Rohtash Jangra from Sirsa, Kanwar Singh Yadav from Mahendragarh, and Satish Fagna from Faridabad NIT.
The BJP’s first list of 67 candidates was announced on September 4th, with incumbent Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini contesting from Ladwa. In its second list, released on Tuesday, the party fielded Captain Yogesh Bairagi from Julana, where star Congress candidate and Olympian wrestler Vinesh Phogat is making her political debut.
The ruling BJP is aiming for a third consecutive term in power. Top party leaders, including Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, are confident of securing a majority in the 90-member Assembly.
The counting of votes will take place on October 8th.
