**Anantapur, Sep 12, 2024:** Shams Mulani’s unbeaten 88 propelled India A to a respectable 288 for eight on the first day of their Duleep Trophy second-round match against India D at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur.
Mulani, who batted with remarkable composure, found an able ally in Tanush Kotian, with the duo stitching together a crucial 91-run partnership for the seventh wicket. This partnership came to India A’s rescue after they were teetering at 144 for six.
Mulani’s innings was marked by his ability to play close to his body and punch the ball off his back foot, effectively negating the threat posed by India D’s bowlers. He reached his half-century in 75 balls, demonstrating his ability to attack both pace and spin.
