Brazilian pop sensation Anitta returned to the MTV Video Music Awards stage for the third year running, delivering a high-energy performance that showcased her musical versatility and undeniable star power.
Anitta kicked off her set with “Savage Funk” from her latest album, “Funk Generation,” and segued into a rendition of “Alegria,” her recent collaboration with Tiago PZK and Emilia. The highlight of the performance came when she joined forces with Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, and Tiago PZK for a powerful performance of “Paradise.”
Fat Joe, acknowledging Anitta’s undeniable talent and influence, declared her the “Queen of Brazil” before she launched into a captivating dance break that saw her commanding the stage with her signature charisma and a troupe of dancers. She closed out her set with a reprise of “Savage Funk.”
Anitta, who made history last year as the first Brazilian to win a VMA trophy, is once again nominated for the prestigious “Best Latin” award, marking her third consecutive nomination in this category.
Beyond her MTV success, Anitta is set to make history as she headlines the NFL’s first-ever match-up in Brazil on September 6th. The singer will perform during halftime of the game between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles, held at Corinthians’ Neo Química Arena in São Paulo.
