Wed Sep 11 09:38:46 UTC 2024: ## Lego Brings Play to Life in Paris with Superpower Studios

**Paris, France** – The world of Lego has taken over La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris with the launch of Superpower Studios, a unique installation showcasing the creative potential of the iconic building blocks. This first-of-its-kind experience, curated by Colette co-founder Sarah Andelman and Lego’s Global VP of Brand Development Alero Akuya, brings together the works of three contemporary artists: Aurélia Durand, Chen Fenwan, and Ekow Nimako.

The exhibition, conceived with families in mind, stems from Lego’s “Rebuild the World” campaign and highlights the company’s commitment to fostering creativity and collaboration. The installations are designed to encourage hands-on interaction and engage children in playful exploration.

“Play is a source of social inclusion – that was very important to us,” explains Akuya, emphasizing the global representation of the chosen artists.

**A World of Imagination**

Each artist has created a distinct space within Superpower Studios, drawing inspiration from their unique artistic backgrounds and experiences.

* Chen Fenwan’s “Forest of Wishes” combines traditional Chinese paper-cut artwork with Lego sculptures, creating a whimsical world of light and color.
* Aurélia Durand’s “Remix Room” immerses visitors in a playful digital landscape, encouraging collaboration through interactive mini-games.
* Ekow Nimako’s “Mythical Maze” transports visitors to a vibrant Afro-Futurist jungle, filled with Lego sculptures inspired by mythical creatures and science fiction.

**Beyond the Bricks**

Superpower Studios is not just about playing with Lego, it’s about celebrating the power of play itself. The exhibition highlights the importance of providing children with spaces for imaginative exploration and emphasizes the social, creative, and developmental benefits of play.

“Kids are the core of what we do – we want to inspire and engage them,” concludes Akuya.

**A Fleeting but Memorable Experience**

The exhibition is free and open to the public until September 16th. While its temporary nature may leave some wishing for more time to explore, Superpower Studios offers a captivating experience that highlights the enduring magic of Lego and the importance of play for all ages.
