Ishaan Khatter, who recently made his international debut in Netflix’s “The Perfect Couple” alongside Nicole Kidman, has shed light on his past living conditions and relationship status. In an interview, the actor revealed that he spent his teenage years living in a small apartment in Mumbai, bought by his brother Shahid Kapoor.
“When I was 16, we moved to a cozy apartment in Yari Road, which my brother was able to buy for us. My mom and I lived there for 10 years,” he shared. He described the apartment as “small, like apartments in Bombay are,” and mentioned that he shared the space with his mother, two senior citizens, and two cats.
Despite these humble beginnings, Ishaan emphasized that he never felt miserable, but acknowledged facing difficult days. “Abundance wasn’t something I saw until very recently, contrary to what people might imagine,” he said.
The actor also addressed his relationship status, confirming he is currently dating someone, while remaining tight-lipped about her identity. “I like guarding my private life and I’ll keep it that way,” he revealed, adding that he is mindful of how his relationships affect his partners, having dated both established and less known women.
Meanwhile, Ishaan’s performance in “The Perfect Couple” has been receiving critical acclaim. The series, based on Elin Hilderbrand’s novel, follows Amelia as she prepares to marry into a wealthy family on Nantucket, only to have her plans disrupted by a shocking discovery and the revelation of family secrets.
