The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its fifth list of 9 candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, bringing the total number of announced candidates to 70. The party has confirmed its intention to contest all 90 seats, with AAP Haryana chief Sushil Gupta stating that they will form a strong government under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership.
The latest list includes notable figures like Anil Ranga for Narwana, Daljeet Singh for Tosham, and Dharmender Hindustani for Palwal. In Tosham, Daljeet Singh will face tough competition from BJP’s Shruti Choudhry, Congress nominee Anirudh Choudhry, and JJP’s Rajesh Bhardwaj. Shruti is the daughter of Kiran Choudhry, who recently switched to the BJP from Congress.
The AAP has outlined their campaign promises, including free electricity and water, world-class education, and monthly stipends of Rs 3,000 for youth and Rs 1,000 for women.
This latest announcement comes after the AAP’s first list was released on Monday following the breakdown of seat-sharing talks with the Congress. Despite their earlier alliance in Delhi and Haryana for the Lok Sabha elections, the two parties have decided to contest the state elections independently.
