Thu Sep 12 04:37:50 UTC 2024: ## BJP Confident of GHMC Victory, Predicts BRS-Congress-AIMIM Alliance

Hyderabad: Bandi Sanjay Kumar, former BJP Telangana president and Union Minister of State for Home, expressed strong confidence in the BJP’s victory in the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, including the Mayor position. He believes this win will propel the party forward in the lead up to the next Assembly elections.

Kumar cited public dissatisfaction with the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Congress government as key factors in the BJP’s favor. He also predicted a potential alliance between the Congress, BRS, and the AIMIM for the elections, but remained optimistic about the BJP’s chances.

During a membership drive launch in Rangareddy district, Kumar criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for his previous threats against former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) but accused Reddy of backing down due to KCR’s alleged connections with Congress leaders in Delhi.

He asserted that the BJP would have taken punitive action against KCR if they were in power and questioned KCR’s silence on the issues faced by citizens during recent heavy rains in Khammam and Mahabubnagar districts.

Kumar concluded by claiming that the people have effectively blocked KCR’s political comeback, labeling any attempts at re-entry as a “pipedream.”
