While the incident occurred during a session with the Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team, including driver Martine Grael, all six athletes on board are safe and unharmed.

“The safety of everyone involved in SailGP is our top priority,” a SailGP spokesperson said. “We are investigating the cause of this incident and will provide further information as it becomes available.”

The spokesperson also indicated that the extent of the damage will likely have a significant impact on the remainder of SailGP’s pre-season training camp in Bermuda.
