Mon Sep 09 15:41:17 UTC 2024: ## Meta Quest 3S Leaks: Budget VR Headset Spotted in Software

**San Francisco, CA** – Meta appears to have accidentally leaked its upcoming budget VR headset, the rumored Quest 3S, in its own software. Spotted by UploadVR, images of the headset, which appears to be a blend of the Quest 2 and Quest 3 designs, were discovered in the asset folders of the Quest Link PC app.

The Quest 3S, which is expected to be formally unveiled at Meta’s Connect event on September 25th, boasts front-facing cameras arranged differently than the Quest 3. While the Quest 3 features three pill-shaped camera cutouts, the Quest 3S appears to have two sets of three cameras clustered on the front cover. The strap design appears to remain the same.

Further evidence of the Quest 3S surfaced on X, with images showcasing apparent accessories for the headset. These accessories have also been spotted on AliExpress, all pointing towards the same design seen in previous leaks.

Rumors suggest the Quest 3S could be priced as low as $300 and might be sold without controllers, relying instead on the gesture controls Meta has been integrating into its operating system. This would be similar to the hand tracking capabilities of Apple’s Vision Pro.

The appearance of the Quest 3S in Meta’s own software seems to confirm its existence and imminent release. With Meta’s Connect event just a few weeks away, we can expect official details and a full reveal of the budget VR headset soon.
