**Anantapur, [Date]** – Doctors at KIMS Savera Hospital in Anantapur have successfully performed a life-saving surgery on a 50-year-old woman suffering from stomach cancer.

G. Chikkamma, a resident of Yathakal village in Settur mandal, arrived at the hospital weighing only 30 kg due to severe gas and loss of appetite. After a series of tests, including endoscopy, ultrasound, and CT scans, doctors diagnosed her with stomach cancer.

“We removed her stomach entirely,” explained consultant surgical gastroenterologist Dr. N. Mahammad Shahid, adding that chemotherapy or radiation were not required. “After a week in the hospital, she was discharged without complications.”

Dr. Shahid highlighted the complexity of gastric cancer, stating that around 1 million cases are detected worldwide annually.
