**San Jose, CA** – PayPal Holdings Inc. has announced a new partnership with e-commerce platform Shopify Inc., expanding its reach in the payments processing market. Under the agreement, PayPal will process some of Shopify’s debit and credit card transactions.

This partnership will also see PayPal’s digital wallet integrated with Shopify Payments. The two companies previously collaborated in 2021 to introduce Shopify Payments in France.

The deal marks another step in PayPal CEO Alex Chriss’s plan to refocus the company on profitable growth. Chriss has implemented changes to streamline the company and enhance its partnerships. He believes that collaboration is key to accelerating innovation and delivering better outcomes for customers.
