The Ohio State Buckeyes continued their strong start to the season with a resounding 56-0 victory over Western Michigan. This performance, coming after a Week 1 win over Akron, saw the Buckeyes dominate on both sides of the ball, racking up over 600 yards of offense while limiting their opponent to just 99 yards.
Despite the impressive performance, Ohio State remained at No. 2 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, trailing only Georgia. They narrowly held off a surging Texas team, who had just delivered a massive win over Michigan.
The top six teams in the poll remained unchanged, with Alabama, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Missouri, and Tennessee rounding out the top 10.
Ohio State will now enjoy a week off before returning to action on September 21st against Marshall.
