Mon Sep 09 15:48:05 UTC 2024: ## Princess Catherine Announces Completion of Chemotherapy Treatment

**LONDON** – Catherine, Princess of Wales, has announced that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. The Princess, who is married to Prince William, shared the news in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), expressing her relief at reaching this milestone.

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” she said. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family.”

The Princess described her cancer journey as “complex, scary and unpredictable,” and acknowledged the impact it has had on her family. However, she also shared a new perspective gained from the experience, stating that it has brought her “face to face with [her] own vulnerabilities” and a renewed appreciation for the simple things in life.

“This time has reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted,” she said.

While her chemotherapy is complete, Catherine emphasized that her journey to full recovery is ongoing and she will continue to take each day as it comes.

“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she said.

The Princess expressed her gratitude for the support she and Prince William have received, and offered words of encouragement to those battling their own cancer journeys.

“I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright,” she said.

Catherine first announced her cancer diagnosis in March, following an abdominal surgery in January. She did not disclose the type of cancer she was diagnosed with. She has since made several public appearances, including Trooping the Colour, Wimbledon, and events with her family.

The Princess has stated that she is looking forward to returning to her work and undertaking more public engagements in the coming months.
