Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has signed a historic four-year contract extension worth $240 million, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. The deal, which was announced on Sunday, will see Prescott earn a reported $60 million per year.

Prescott, who led the Cowboys to a 33-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, has set his sights on delivering a Super Bowl to Dallas. “It’s my only motivation,” he said, referring to his Super Bowl aspirations. “Hold up my part of this deal. Just deliver that. That’s my motivation.”

Former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett defended Prescott against critics who have questioned his place among the top quarterbacks in the league. “He just plays the game at a high level,” Garrett said on NBC’s Football Night in America. “I hear these clowns on TV say he’s overrated, he’s not in the top 10.
