Tue Sep 10 18:37:00 UTC 2024: ## England Cruise Past Finland in Nations League Win, Kane Marks Century with Brace
**London, England:** Harry Kane scored twice in his 100th appearance for England, leading the Three Lions to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Finland in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday evening.
Interim manager Lee Carsley secured his second win in as many games, with Kane’s goals coming in the first half. England dominated possession but faced a stubborn Finnish defense that struggled to create chances.
“It was a great way to mark my 100th cap,” said Kane, who became the first Englishman to score in three different international tournaments. “I was delighted to get the goals and help the team to victory.”
The win was a positive sign for England as they continue to build under Carsley. While Finland managed to stifle England’s attacking threat in the second half, the team’s composure and ability to break down opponents who sit back was encouraging.
“I’m really pleased with the way we played,” said Carsley. “We controlled the game from start to finish and created a lot of chances. The players have shown a lot of positive signs in my first two games.”
Several other players impressed, including the likes of Anthony Gordon, who continues to shine on the left wing, and midfielder Lewis, who displayed excellent composure and intelligence on his first senior international start.
England will look to continue their winning streak in their next Nations League match against Scotland on September 15th.
