**London, UK** – The Dezeen Awards, in partnership with Bentley, have announced the longlist for the 2024 Architecture category, showcasing 227 projects from 40 countries.
Notable projects include:
* An industrial in-fill home with perforated metal panels in Dublin, Ireland (Gró Works)
* A waterside mosque wrapped in pink concrete in Bangladesh (Studio Morphogenesis)
* A school centered around a tree-filled courtyard in Tanzania (Jeju Studio)
* A restored wallpaper factory in London, UK (JTRE London and Witherford Watson Mann)
* A pink-toned earth-clad hotel in Marrakech, Morocco (Bergendy Cooke)
* A concrete-wrapped modular housing concept for displaced communities in Venice, Italy (Holcim and the Norman Foster Foundation)
The top six cities represented on the longlist are: London, Paris, Shanghai, Mexico City, Berlin, and New York.
This year’s longlist highlights a strong focus on cultural sensitivity and adaptive reuse, showcasing a commitment to preserving heritage while pushing the boundaries of modern design.
The projects were chosen from over 4,130 entries from 82 countries. A prestigious panel of international judges, including architects Keiji Ashizawa, Francine Houben, Anupama Kundoo, and Alexandra Hagen, will now select the shortlisted projects, which will be announced in October.
The Dezeen Awards 2024 party, where the winners will be announced, will take place in London on November 26th. Tickets are available now.
