Burroughs High School cheerleaders are celebrating a successful summer, earning them trips to Rome, Italy and Orlando, Florida. The team, led by Coach Stacey Crow, achieved the “All American Cheerleader” title at a cheer camp, securing an invitation to perform in the New Year’s Day parade in Rome. Five girls will be heading to the Eternal City, needing to raise $5,000 each for the trip.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team will be cheering at the Citrus Bowl halftime show in Orlando. They aim to raise $2,000 each to fund their Florida adventure.
Beyond individual achievements, the team also received the coveted Unity Award this summer, voted on by other high school teams. This award recognizes their strong team spirit, bonding, and sportsmanship.
The team is currently seeking donations to help fund their travels. Donations can be sent to Burroughs High School, attention Stacey Crow. Checks should be made out to Burroughs High School.
“Any donations are welcomed and appreciated,” said Coach Crow.
