**Cupertino, CA** – Apple Inc. has unveiled a trio of new AirPods models, including the standard AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods Max, at its GlowTime event. The new models feature a variety of improvements, including enhanced audio quality, new health features, and sustainable design practices.

**AirPods 4:** The latest iteration of Apple’s standard earbuds boasts a new H2 chip for improved audio performance, personalized spatial audio, and adaptive audio. The AirPods 4 also offer active noise cancellation for the first time, a feature previously exclusive to the Pro models. They come equipped with USB-C charging, a case speaker for easier location, and a battery life lasting up to 30 hours. Apple has priced the AirPods 4 at $129, while the active noise cancellation variant is priced at $179.

**AirPods Pro 2:** The second-generation AirPods Pro boasts new health features including hearing protection, hearing tests, and a hearing aid feature available in over 100 countries. Other features include a personalized hearing profile, conversation awareness, conversation boost, adaptive EQ, and a noise app. These health features will be rolled out later this fall.

**AirPods Max:** The over-ear headphones, now available in a range of stylish new colors (Midnight, Blue, Purple, Orange, and Starlight), feature enhanced audio capabilities including active noise cancellation, spatial audio enabled with iOS 18, and transparency mode. The AirPods Max boasts an extended battery life of up to 20 hours and supports fast charging, offering 1.5 hours of playback from a 5-minute charge. The headphones also support Bluetooth 5.0 and can be used with a wired connection via a Lightning to 3.5mm audio cable.

Apple has emphasized its commitment to sustainability in the design of the new AirPods models, using 100% fiber-based materials and reducing packaging by over 30%, aligning with the company’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2030.

Pre-orders for the new AirPods models are now open, with shipping expected to begin on September 20th.
