**CUPERTINO, CA -** Apple has announced a new generation of its popular AirPods, featuring a redesigned entry-level model and a new high-end version with active noise cancellation (ANC). The company also unveiled a refreshed AirPods Max with new color options.

The new AirPods 4, available in standard and ANC versions, promise significantly improved sound quality compared to their predecessors. The standard AirPods 4 will retail for $129, while the ANC version will cost $179. Both models feature the new USB-C charging port and offer spatial audio with head tracking. The ANC version further benefits from a speaker built into the charging case for easier location tracking and supports both Qi and Apple Watch wireless charging.

The refreshed AirPods Max, priced at $549, boasts a new selection of color options: midnight, blue, purple, orange, and starlight. Aside from the USB-C port, the new AirPods Max remain largely unchanged from their 2020 predecessors.
