**Nashik, India -** Veteran television actor Vikas Sethi, best known for his roles in popular shows like “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,” “Kahiin To Hoga,” and “Sasural Simar Ka,” died in his sleep on Saturday night in Nashik. The actor, who was 48, suffered a cardiac arrest.

According to his wife, Jhanvi Sethi, the couple were in Nashik for a family function. Sethi had been experiencing vomiting and loose motions prior to his death, but declined medical attention. “When I went to wake him up at around 6 am, he was no more,” Jhanvi told PTI.

Sethi was also a recognizable face in Bollywood, appearing in the 2001 blockbuster “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,” where he played the role of Robbie, a friend of Poo (Kareena Kapoor Khan).

The actor’s mortal remains have been sent for post-mortem to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital. His last rites will be held in Mumbai on Monday. Sethi is survived by his wife and their twin sons.
