**Paris, France:** Great Britain’s canoeists enjoyed a spectacular day at the Paris Paralympics, securing two gold medals and a silver.

Emma Wiggs, 44, successfully defended her VL2 (va’a) title, claiming her third Paralympic gold. The veteran athlete demonstrated her prowess, finishing the 200m course in 58.88 seconds.

Charlotte Henshaw, 37, secured her second Paralympic gold in the VL3 event, setting a Games best time of 55.70 seconds. She edged out teammate Hope Gordon, who took silver. This win marks the first-ever VL3 event for women at the Paralympics, with Henshaw and Gordon leading the way in the discipline.

In the men’s KL2 (kayak) race, Dave Phillipson secured a silver medal for Great Britain. He finished just over a second behind Australian champion Curtis McGrath, who claimed his third consecutive title.
