**MUMBAI, INDIA -** Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Sunday, November 5, 2023. The baby was reportedly born at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital.
While an official statement from the couple is yet to be released, the news has been circulating widely, with photographers capturing the couple arriving at the hospital with their family members.
The birth comes just days after Deepika and Ranveer were spotted seeking blessings at the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai on Friday. Deepika, sporting a traditional green saree and matching blouse, visibly flaunted her baby bump during the visit.
The couple announced their pregnancy in February this year, sharing a joint post with cute motifs of baby clothes, baby shoes and balloons, along with the date “September 2024”. They later shared pictures from their maternity photoshoot, showcasing Deepika’s radiant glow and her growing belly.
Several reports suggest that the couple might be preparing to start this new chapter in their lives in a new home. It is believed that Deepika and Ranveer will move into their swanky apartment in Bandra, which is next to superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow Mannat.
Deepika and Ranveer, who started dating in 2013 on the sets of “Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela,” kept their relationship private until their lavish wedding in Lake Como, Italy in 2018.
Deepika plans to return to work in 2025, dedicating the next few months to her newborn. She is expected to resume filming for the sequel of “Kalki” along with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas, and will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again” alongside Ranveer.
Meanwhile, Ranveer will be busy with Aditya Dhar’s next action film and Farhan Akhtar’s “Don 3”.
