– The incident occurred in Santha village in the Avatarnagar Thana area.
– The vehicle was carrying Siwan’s trainee IAS Neha Kumari and her driver, sparking outrage among locals.
– The driver is being taken into custody, while Neha Kumari has been placed in Circuit House temporarily.
– The deceased child has been identified as Niranjana Rai’s 5-year-old daughter Nikita Kumari.
– The vehicle, a Scorpio, fled the scene after hitting the child who was playing by the roadside.
– The child was taken to a nearby doctor but was declared dead.
– The vehicle was later caught by locals, and the occupants, including the driver and a lady, were taken into police custody.
– The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
