2. The BPaL regimen includes a combination of four drugs – bedaquiline, pretomanid, linezolid, and moxifloxacin.
3. The Ministry aims to eliminate multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) by 2025 under the National TB Elimination Program.
4. The new BPaL regimen includes a newly approved anti-TB drug called pretomanid alongside bedaquiline and linezolid.
5. Over 75,000 drug-resistant TB patients in India will benefit from this faster treatment method.
