Fri Sep 06 19:17:40 UTC 2024: Efforts to combat illegal trade in Myanmar are being effectively carried out under the supervision of the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee. Various illegal goods, including unregistered motorbikes, consumer goods, industrial materials, and illegal teak, have been seized by combined on-duty teams in different locations. The actions were taken in accordance with Customs procedures and the Export and Import Law. A total of 27 cases were recorded on 4 and 5 September, resulting in the seizure of illegal goods valued at approximately K849.706 million.
