– Three others, including Afsar Ali Khan, were also arrested in connection with the case
– A viral video shows Afsar Ali threatening a former principal and selling bio-medical waste products from the hospital
– The CBI has slapped criminal conspiracy charges in connection with the financial misconduct at RG Kar Medical College
– Ghosh served as principal from February 2021 to September 2023, and unexpectedly returned to his role after being transferred
– The trainee doctor was brutally raped and murdered in August, leading to protests and violence in West Bengal
– Sanjay Roy, a civic volunteer, was arrested in connection with the rape-murder
– Ghosh has also been summoned by Kolkata Police for disclosing the victim’s identity
– The Indian Medical Association suspended Ghosh’s membership after the incident.
