The bank clarified that no salary or ESOPs were paid to Madhabi Puri Buch after her retirement, other than her retiral benefits. Payments made to Buch after her retirement had accrued to her during her employment with the group, including ESOPs and retiral benefits. The bank explained the rules regarding ESOPs and perquisite tax on exercise of ESOPs.
