– The officers were questioned by Delhi police and claimed to be on routine duty
– Champai Soren resigned from JMM and all posts following the allegations
– BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma alleged that Soren had been under surveillance by his own government
– The officers admitted to being put on duty to “track” Soren by the Special Branch chief
– JMM spokesperson denied the allegations and suggested the officers may have been assigned for Soren’s security as he was still a Cabinet Minister.
