– Manoj Soni resigned for personal reasons, five years before term was scheduled to end in 2029
– Preeti Sudan brings 37 years of experience in government administration, including as Union Health Secretary during COVID-19 pandemic
– Worked in ministries of Defense and Women and Child Development, as well as in various roles in home state cadre of Andhra Pradesh
– Also served as consultant for World Bank, enhancing her credentials for leading the UPSC
